In this speech we will be investigating some issues that are related to my work: Ogyū Sorai in Chinese Literary Sphere. By focusing on Kumazawa Banzan, Ogyū Sorai, Hattori Nankaku, Motoori Norinaga, Koga Touan and Fukuzawa Yukichi, I will discuss how Japanese scholars felt and thought about China in the Edo period. What's more, I will also talk about my views on the issue of De-Sinicization in modern Japan and Taiwan.
